A distinguished classical pianist and a highly sought-after teacher, Dr. Nopanand obtained her Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in Piano Performance from the Thornton School of Music, University of Southern California, U.S.A. under a Fulbright Scholarship. She obtained her Master of Music Degree from the Eastman School of Music, Rochester, New York.


Dr. Nopanand was the First Prize Winner of The National Youth Piano Concerto Competition (1988) and the Triple-Prize Winner of The Bangkok Chopin Piano Competition (1989) – First Prize, Best Mazurka Prize and Best Waltz Prize.


Besides giving solo and chamber music recitals, Dr. Nopanand has been a guest soloist with both The Chulalongkorn University Symphony Orchestra and The Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra.

Dr. Nopanand has regularly been invited to serve on the adjudicator panel of many national and ASEAN international piano competitions.

Dr. Nopanand was appointed an Assistant Professor in Music of the College of Music, Mahidol University where she served as a full time piano faculty member for more than a decade and has contributed significantly in making it to be one of the strongest piano departments in Thailand.


Currently, Dr. Nopanand teaches in her own private studio which focuses in training young talented pianists.
