Joyce Wang, born in Taiwan and raised in Belize, received her DMA from West Virginia University, USA, under the tutelage of Christine Kefferstan, James Miltenberger, Yeeha Chiu, and William Skidmore. Her solo and chamber performances include musical production Into the Woods for Laurel Highland District of Pennsylvania; the Faculty Artist Series at Frostburg State University, Maryland; Classical and Jazz Piano Festival and Competition at West Virginia University; the National Institute of Culture and History in Belmopan, Belize; International Flute Symposium; National Flute Association Convention at Las Vegas, Nevada, where she premiered Echoes of Narcissus (2010) for two piccolos and piano by Melvin Lauf. The most recent collaboration includes world premier of a collection of violin and piano works written by Taiwanese composers.

She is a current member of Music Teacher National Association (MTNA), and engages in both collegiate, state and national levels. Prior to her current position as an Assistant Professor of the Institute of Music, UCSI University, she had held several positions in higher education administration as an academic advisor, a Live and Learn Community Specialist and a Program Coordinator for Undergraduate Education of the Provost Office at West Virginia University. Prior in completing her DMA, Joyce earned degrees of BM in Music Education and MM in Piano Pedagogy.
