Peter Amstutz

Peter Amstutz is Professor of Piano and Coordinator of Keyboard Studies at West Virginia University. A prizewinner in the Maryland International Piano Competition (subsequently renamed in honor of William Kapell) and medalist in the Casagrande International Piano Competition in Italy, Amstutz has performed throughout Europe and the United States. In recent years, he has also made frequent tours of Asia, presenting recitals and master classes in major cities of Japan

Akira Imai

Mr. Akira Imai was born in Tokyo in 1954. At the invitation of Paul Badura-Skoda, Mr.Imai moved to Vienna at age sixteen. Already at age nineteen, he graduated from State University for Music in Vienna with high honors. He continued his studies under Professor Paul Badura-Skoda in Germany and received a Concert Diploma from the Folkwang Hochschule for Music, Essen, in 1979. Since that time Mr. Imai has been a prizewinner in several international piano competitions

Loo Bang Hean

Born in Ipoh, Malaysia, Bang Hean's teachers in Malaysia include Serena Chow and Rickie Oui. He was the 1st prize winner of the First National Mozart Piano Competition in 1987, and following his success in the LRSM performing diploma in that same year the ABRSM awarded him a four-year scholarship to study at the Royal College of Music (RCM), London.

Oh Yann Shie

"I would definitely want to hear more of you," - remarked Gary Graffman after her performance at the Oxford Piano Festival in July 2009. A third prizewinner at the 2008 Nikolai Rubinstein International Piano Competition in Paris, Yann Shie holds a Doctoral Degree in Piano Performance from the prestigious Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatoire and two minors in voice accompaniment and chamber music.

P'ng Tean Hwa

P'ng Tean Hwa has appeared in many public concert performances as a soloist as well as collaborative pianist in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, South Korea, Hungary, and the USA. As a clinician, he has presented numerous lectures, workshops, and seminars to both piano teachers and the general audience, and conducted many masterclasses. He is frequently invited to serve as a guest examiner and also to adjudicate competitions, most recently the 2nd Thailand Mozart International Competition.

Tan Siok Lian

Siok Lian Tan is Associate Professor of Piano at Miami University. She teaches applied piano, piano pedagogy, and coordinates the class piano program. She holds a D.M.A. degree in Piano from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. She has been heard in live broadcasts on Cincinnati Public Radio Station WGUC and has appeared as soloist with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Oxford Chamber Orchestra, and Miami University Symphony Orchestra

Lucas Wong

Lucas Wong, Assistant Professor of Piano at Soochow University School of Music in China, is equally at home as a soloist, chamber musician, pedagogue, and repetiteur. His keyboard repertoire stretches over six centuries, including works for harpsichord, piano, and extended keyboard techniques. As a dedicated teacher, he also contributes regularly in editing for university publishing press, scholarly writing, adjudication, and leading research in computer algorithm for piano reduction technique

Boey Hooi Yin

Hooi Yin Boey served as Associate Professor of Music at Alderson Broaddus University until the Spring of 2016. A native of Malaysia, Dr. Boey earned her Associate Degree in piano performance at UCSI University, followed by B.M., M.M., and D.M.A in piano performance at West Virginia University. Her teachers and mentors include Mrs. Elizabeth Chiang, Dr. Peter Amstutz, Dr. Connie Arrau Sturm, and Dr. James Miltenberger

Chan Wei Tuck

Chan Wei Tuck earned his Bachelors, Masters, and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees in piano performance from West Virginia University. He was awarded the Fine Arts Scholarship for his undergraduate studies and a graduate assistantship in piano technology for his doctoral studies. His principal piano teachers were James Miltenberger, Christine Kefferstan, and Lee Yin Hwa

Chee Su-yen

Malaysian pianist Chee Su-yen has established herself both as a soloist and chamber musician. She has given solo and collaborative recitals in the United States, Hong Kong, Japan, China, Korea, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia. Recent solo performances include a recital at the KL Piano Festival 2012 and participation at the KL Piano Galas in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016

Cheong Yew Choong

Cheong Yew Choong earned his Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctorate Degrees from West Virginia University (USA). He was awarded graduate assistantships from WVU, tuning and regulating Steinway pianos at the Music Department. His teachers include Prof. Dr. Peter Amstutz and Prof. Dr. P'ng Tean Hwa. Choi Hee Jung

Choi Hee Jung, a Korean pianist residing in Malaysia, obtained her Master Degree from Western Illinois University where she was awarded with the Graduate Assistant Award. While at WIU, Hee Jung has won the concerto competition as a soloist one year and as a trio ensemble in the year after. Subsequently, she was admitted into the University of Iowa post-graduate program as a recipient of the prestigious John Simms Piano Award and Graduate Assistantship.

Chong Chooi Foong

Chooi Foong graduated from the prestigious Goldsmith's College in London, UK in 2005 with Masters of Music Degree in Performance and Related Studies. Both a skilful researcher and performer, she studied piano under Ng Chong Lim and Cheong Yew Boon in Kuala Lumpur in addition to Andrew Zolinsky in London. She also had the opportunity to participate in collaborative piano performances as well as charity concerts during her studies abroad

Hoo Sim Li

Sim Li Hoo holds the Master of Music in Piano Performance degree from Miami University, where she was a recipient of graduate assistantship. She was the official accompanist for the Miami University Chamber Singers and has appeared with the choir at Carnegie Hall in New York in October 2012. Sim Li has participated in numerous piano master classes, including one conducted by the world renowned pianist, Menahem Pressler.

Khoo Khe Sin

Malaysian-born pianist Khoo Khe Sin received her B.Mus. from the University of Newcastle (Australia) through UCSI University, as well as her M.M. and D.M.A. from West Virginia University (USA). While in the States, Khe Sin has served as graduate assistant to the WVU Opera and Theater department.

Lee Yin Hwa

A native of Ipoh, Lee Yin Hwa earned his Bachelors and Masters from Western Illinois University, and a one-year post-graduate study at Boston University where he was the recipient of the Dean's scholarship. His principal teachers include Prof. Anthony Di Bonaventura, Prof. Michael Campbell and James Magsig. Yin Hwa was the 3rd prize winner at the Brevard Music Festival piano competition and concerto

Lim Pei Sien

Lim Pei Sien is known for her aptitude to collaborate well with other musicians. She has performed in recitals and music festivals in Malaysia, Brunei, Thailand, Austria and the USA as a chamber musician as well as a soloist. Most recent performances included a solo piano recital and a violin-piano recital, organized by the Brunei Music Society, in January and February of 2016 respectively.

Carolyn Lo

Born in Kuala Lumpur, Carolyn graduated from Miami University, Ohio with a Masters in Piano Performance under Dr. Siok Lian Tan. She also holds the LRSM and FTCL performance diplomas as well as a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Newcastle, Australia. In 2015, she became the first Malaysian to be awarded the FRSM in piano performance with a distinction

Tan Hui Sean

Tan Hui Sean earned her Advanced Certificate from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, Bachelor degree from University of Maryland and Master degree from New York University. During her study abroad, she was a recipient of Eltermann Scholarship, Moses Asch Memorial Scholarship, Graduate Assistantship and Langley Fellowship

Kenneth Teh Kien Huat

A native of Petaling Jaya, Kenneth is a graduate of the Moscow State Conservatory named after Tchaikovsky, where he studied under Professor Natalia Trull. Whilst in Russia, he performed regularly in Moscow and St Petersburg. He collaborated in various ensembles with musicians from the Russian National Orchestra (RNO) and the chamber orchestra "Moskoviya"

Ysan Suit Yin

Ysan Suit Yin is currently the Head of Programme, Classical Music Degree at Institute of Music, UCSI University in Kuala Lumpur. She is a very dedicated teacher and has been actively teaching since 1986.Her teaching passion has brought her students of different age groups from 4 to 82 at all levels
